PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION:
The preparation for your shoot actually begins at home. Make sure to feed your baby approximately half an hour before the session is scheduled to begin. Before we start, we will have a chat at the studio to get to know each other and discuss expectations. Make sure you arrive on time!
TIPS:
Rest for the little star:
A well-rested baby is a happy baby! So, try to ensure your child gets a good night's sleep or a refreshing nap before our session. It'll help them stay cheerful throughout the shoot.
Snacks & Sips
Kids are full of energy, and sometimes they need a little refueling during the session. Feel free to bring some snacks or an extra bottle just in case. We want everyone to feel comfortable and content.

Whether your baby is already walking or not, we recommend that parents wear comfortable clothing, as you'll likely be moving around quite a bit to help me reposition the baby.
Bring their favorite toy/object
I have my bag of tricks to help grab baby’s attention; however, it’s a good idea to bring a toy or two that you know they love and smile for that we can bust out in case what I have just isn’t cutting it. Parents, you are the real MVP’s here!
the day of
Expect an hour of fun! Our milestone sessions usually last about an hour or less. That’s just the right amount of time to capture those adorable moments without making anyone feel rushed. Babies are unpredictable so we do move quickly, but it’s all in an attempt to avoid a meltdown.

I photograph your baby in a range of natural positions—lying, sitting, crawling, or walking—based on their age and development, selecting props that best suit their abilities.

Many babies need a little time to warm up in a new place, and that’s completely normal. We’ll take things at your baby’s pace, and I’ll be there to guide you through it all.
no 'smiles' does not equate a bad session:
Not every baby will smile during their session—and that’s completely okay. It’s natural to hope for smiles, but even without them, we’ll capture beautiful, meaningful moments.
What should the baby wear?
For milestone sessions, I recommend having 2–3 outfits ready for your little one. I also have a wide selection of rompers and dresses available in my studio wardrobe, so you’re welcome to use those instead. You don’t need to bring any outfits unless you’d like to—my studio wardrobe can be used entirely for the session (cake smash outfit not included). Please note that themed outfits may not always be available, so be sure to check with me in advance.

Good to know before you decide
Because of food allergies, I always ask parents to bring the cake so you know exactly what’s in it. I recommend ordering a simple smash cake from a bakery—something soft with light icing. A 6-inch cake with 2–3 layers works great. It also helps to let your baby try a cupcake or small cake before the session so it’s not totally new to them. Try to avoid cakes with dark dyes like red, blue, purple, or brown, and if you’re picking up the cake the day before, let it sit out for a few hours before the session so the icing can soften.
What to expect: Every baby reacts differently to cake—some dive right in, and others aren’t so sure. You might need to help them get started (hands in the cake and all!), and that’s totally normal. Be sure to bring baby soap and a towel for cleanup afterward. No matter how it goes, we’ll roll with it—babies have big personalities, and this stage only happens once. The session will be special either way.

Choosing:
Within 3-5 business days after your session you will receive a link to your proofing gallery. This gallery will include watermarked images for you to review individually. Please make your final selection within 24 hours to avoid any delays in the editing and delivery process.
Adding extra images?
If you decide you'd like additional images beyond what's included in your package, an invoice will be issued to you. Please note that editing will begin only after payment for additional images has been received

After making your selections, please allow up to 7 business days (weekends/holidays do not count) to receive your final images via online gallery.
